July 18 Monday Day Six Missouri River to Mississippi River

Long drive day from Chamberlain to Moline.

1. Drive from Chamberlain to Mitchell... Visit Corn Palace -- Mid morning stop.
2. Drive to Austin MN and the SPAM Museum. Lunch?
3. Drive South to Moline... depending on time possible stops in Maquoketa (Bannichek's) or at the Lime Stone park.

Go through Postville, then US 52 to Dubuque and US 61 to Moline. 5 hours from Austin to Moline, not including stops.

July 17 Sunday Day Five-- Billings to Chamberlain SD

Long Day needing an early start.

1. Depart Billings, and then into Wyoming.
2. Visit Devil's Tower about noon.
WARNING I90 closed in eastern WY. Take detour as shown in streets and trips.
3. DepDrive through Deadwood and then on to Rushmore
4. Dinner at Wall drugs.
5. Drive through Badlands.
6. Drive East to Chamberlain. Overnight at Howard Johnsons

July 15 Friday Third Day. Dillon MT to Yellowstone

The Third day is low driving and includes the first day in Yellowstone:
Ghost town candidates include Nevada City (next to Virginia City and on route). Nevada City and Virginia City are pretty tame. Old Faithful

1. Breakfast in Dillon or on the way to Virginia City.
2. Time in Nevada City -- Ghost town #2.

3. Lunch in Virginia City; snack at the lodge in Yellowstone.

4. Stay is in Yellowstone Snow Lodge near Old Faithful.

5. Walk around geysers

6. Dinner at Old Faithful lodge.

7. Late night viewing of old faithful -- it's the night of a full moon!
